Finally got to listen in. So good - I feel like I know better now how food for you is a preservation of self and home. I already knew this, but it feels different when there are words to back it up. Happy you’re here - we’ve come a long way from exchanging books and notes in history class.

So real!! Also glad you loved the audio aspect. I almost left it out but this piece was very personal which I’m sure you can sense! And ditto on the long way!! Two nerds writing their hearts out.

Loved this short love story. I also enjoy bitterness, and used take out pomegranates one by one. Listening to it and reading it, made my heart feel full. Lovely writing.

Loved this stanza - “In the stillness of the Saint Lucian night, we are the only things moving. Past 2 am we are settling into the worn wooden chairs eating freshly baked bread and cheese. There are two cats and one is being greedy. We talk about ways to feed the skinny cat. It looks so sad.” I can visualize it all so clearly.
