I wonder what that situation would've been if Kasla and Osellia didn't meet. Osellia probably would still be running, captured again or dead. I like that Kasla took the time to listen to her and recognizes that she needs someone to guide her in understanding who she is and how to manage her powers.

She has powers but how confident is she using them? I envision her as being a young witch that's still learning how to use them.
As for Kasla killing the slavers, I wondered if that was to follow before she and Osellia left...or maybe roughed them up a bit. But slowing them down? Hmmm if their reputation is capturing and torturing then death is necessary.
